Vet needs home refinance funds or we lose our home
Organized by: Jeremy Marquardt
My name is Jeremy marquardt and I am an Iraq war disabled veteran and was medically retired for injuries uncured in combat. After discharging from the military my wife and I baught a house for our little family, Jeremy the dad, heather the mom, jenevieve the daughter and Derek the son. And then there is ewald or "opa" in German, grandpa. However this house was bought from a private lender which meant after 5 years we have to pay or refinance the full amount. We bought the house in 2008 and in 6 months the value went from 250k to around 90k. This being said we couldn't refinance nor sell the house and were stuck as we grew to big as a family for this house. The lender was after months of negotiations willing to bring the principal down to 200 and that's where we are now. We have all the approvals, interest rares locked at 3.5 and everything we need except for the fees and such. When we got the appraisal done the appraiser fudged up the paper work and under valued my house by 15k and that means I have to come up with the 15 k out of pocket. Being a disabled veteran at 32 and a 5 head household on an fixed income it's very complicated to afford even the basics sometimes and now we might loose our home to add to it. Please help us in this catch 22 and help us pay for our refinance fees to keep our home or we loose our home.
