Healing Veteran Dad

Veteran Looking for Closure and Healing
I can't begin to describe how much I really would like to help Dad fulfill a wish. He is just a great guy; everyone he meets is an instant friend...if anyone is deserving, he certainly is. Here's the story:
My Dad served in Vietnam during 1967-1968. He was a Forward Observer attached to Battery A, in the 3rd/16th Field Artillery. His stories are few and far between and he has kept a lot of what happened there to himself. Though when he does let others in, a lot of emotion spills out. It really, truly, isn't easy for him...especially when it comes to talking about his close, fallen friends.
Just recently he has expressed a desire to go back to Vietnam; to confront his past and help himself find closure and healing. What a major step that is for him and something great to help him achieve.
That time to travel should be sooner, rather than later, as advancing age and (unfortunately) health issues are beginning to impact his life. The dates of the planned trip are currently March 5-19, 2017. It will be almost 50 years since he was last in Vietnam.
While I will do what I can to see him find the healing he needs, I can't do it alone....which is why I am (humbly) reaching out. I have found a very reputable company which treats Veterans returning to Vietnam seriously; taking them to the very places they stood that mean so much to them. They cost more than just an air flight and trying to find a way around; itineraries are specifically planned and care is taken to take the Veteran to the very places they once stood; the places their friends fell. How incredible that is for the Veteran! Registration closes Dec 5, 2016. There will be complete transparency with this campaign, including regular updates.
This is a trip that will make a life better; a life that gave so much so long ago.
