We were extremely overjoyed as a military family who has been through a deployment to Afghanistan and 2 moves across the country, that we were finally able to put some roots down. 10 months ago my wife and I purchased our first home for our family of 7.
Our house is a classic deep barn red in a small township with the perfect school that is suited to handle one of our children that has Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). With plenty of room we have begun to start what we call "Our little Farm". The children have not only helped set up our small green house and start the plants all from seeds but now also enjoy going out and seeing the magic of their efforts. Most of our dinner conversations are about what should we do next. It appears chickens are the winner. Now we fear our dream is in jeopardy.
Two weeks ago we were devastated to discover we have multiple foundation leaks and water damage that was hidden behind newer walls placed over the damaged walls. Currently there are 6 active foundation leaks. None of which covered by insurance. Our children have been just the best through this so far. Our 6 year old who loves remodeling shows has decided that he wants to design the basement for us. Our 4 year old has offered his piggy bank after over hearing conversations about how to pay for this.
We are looking for help to cover the costs of basement waterproofing, foundation fixes, and repair of the partially finished basement.
