We are hopeful and prayerful to get you to commit to sponsorship of our most amazingly unique Recreational Rehabilitation Therapy Rowing/Kayaking programs for our severely disabled military veterans.
Who We Serve: All honorably discharged or active duty, reservist and ROTC members of the armed forces.
What Illness and Disabilities We Work With: PTSD, TBI, severe to moderate depression, anxiety and mood disorders, substance abuse, amputees, cancer patients, blind/vision impaired and many other health related issues.
Where We Assist Them: We work closely with our community boathouse partners and sponsors currently in (4) States: CT, MA, ME, and RI at ten training facilities. We are starting with 2 community partners in Melbourne, FL.
How We Get Our Veterans: All our Veterans get referred into our program by their primary care physicians and clinicians through the VA Healthcare System where they are enrolled.
Who We Are: We are a 501c3 non-profit; primarily a volunteer veterans service organization known as Veterans Rowing and Kayaking, Inc. Our main office is located at 28 Hillston Road, Suite 300, Trumbull, CT 06611 and our website is www.veteransrowing.org.
Why We Need Your Support: Paying for the costs associated with running and maintaining these programs come at a cost, although all of our programs are completely free to our disabled/wounded veterans.
We rely on individual and corporate sponsors like you to help us maintain these very popular programs because there is nothing like this available regionally or nationally. Currently, there are no recreational rehabilitation therapy programs available that encompasses our unique concept of low-impact physical exercise (rowing and kayaking) that incorporates a healing wellness program that focuses on repairing the mind, body, and soul of our wounded veterans.
Please consider in making any donation today to support our brave men and women who have served our grateful nation. We owe it to them for their honorable sacrifices to keep us safe.
