Veterans and PTSD
Organized by: Michael Smalls
I am a US Army Combat Veteran. Many of my fellow soldiers suffer from some form of PTSD. I am producing a television series to raise awareness to PSTD(post traumatic stress disorder) and TBI (traumatic brain injury).
“Deep Cover in New Asia 2020” is a television series produced by Veterans to encourage soldiers and their families to seek help early for symptoms of PTSD and TBI. The lead characters along with their team of elite operatives battle terrorism and other world evils while dealing with symptoms of PTSD. “Deep Cover” includes live in-depth interviews with newly returning OEF/OIF/OND Veterans designed to depict the true impact PTSD/TBI has the soldier and their families. Set in the near future “New Asia” is a new continent where the G8 nations chose to send their worst criminals.
As an Army Captain “Seeing my best friend and his family deal with PTSD is tough” “The effect on me was shocking and unexpected.” “The worst thing about it was that I felt I couldn’t do anything about it”. . “Deep Cover” is a vehicle for the Veterans voice to be heard and but more importantly understood. Through Crowdrise we can make a “Deep” Impact.
