BENEFITING: STRAIGHT AHEAD OUTREACH-TAKING BACK YOUR LIFE
HOURS PLEDGED: 30
Hello everyone and thank you for stopping by today.
I would like to introduce to you... BOB H. from Clearwater, FL.
Will you Help Us Make his Holiday a great one?
Will you Help us Prevent him from becoming Homeless?
***We tried to raise funds for this Elderly Marine Corp veteran Amputee back in July and we only were able to raise $50.00. This 75 year old veteran is in great need to Help Prevent him from becoming homeless. You can read his story by going to our website by following this link>>> http://mobilecrisis.org/2012/07/21/elderly-marine-corp-veteranamputee-in-great-need/
Last month after having his electricity shut off by Progress Energy in Clearwater, FL for the 3rd time he ended up in the hospital and then a nursing home for therapy for 5 weeks. The reason? He ended up in an emergency situation and almost died because the shutting off of his electricity left him without his Oxygen. He ended up being taken by Ambulance to the hospital.
We heard of this when we brought him food last night. The people in his mobile home community banded together to pay his electricity and one month rent.
1) His electricity runs approx: $120/month
2) His rent is approx: $440/month
STA would also like to take him for a haircut and shave and treat him to a good healthy lunch or dinner.
While we are trying to raise enough for a year...anything will help. 100% of all monies donated will go directly to his needs. We will pay it directly to the landlord and electric company on his behalf and we will be wayyyy more then happy to keep you informed and show receipts.
We need to raise more so this Elderly Veteran does NOT need to worry. Lets raise enough for one year!
He is a great guy and we have come to know and love him over the past 9 years!
Please Donate right now to this fundraiser! You may join our team also and help us raise more funds for this and other projects!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
