Veteran's Hospital Therapeutic Garden Eagle Project
Organized by: Scott Trickett
As I work towards my Eagle rank in the Boy Scouts, I wanted to do a service project that gave back to the men and women who have given so much for our country. I felt that this project for the veterans at the McGuire's VA Hospital was the right fit for me. This greenhouse and therapeutic garden will benefit the patients of the Poly-Trauma unit of the hospital. This garden will assist the recovering veterans with regaining balance, fine motor skills, and achieving some normalcy back in their lives. The VA Hospital has agreed to use funds from a donation to provide a foundation for the greenhouse and the purchase of the greenhouse kit. I am raising funds to purchase the five (rot free) raised planter beds, crusher run, plants, and soil. I hope you will join me in this very worthwhile project. Any funds raised beyond my goal will be donated directly to the VA Hospital.
**Single donations of $250.00 or more will have their name or organization placed on a plaque at the site of the project**
