BENEFITING: OVARIAN CANCER SYMPTOM AWARENESS ORGANIZATION
OVARIAN CANCER SYMPTOM AWARENESS ORGANIZATION wrote -
We are the animals of OCSA and we are raising money to spread the word about the silent symptoms of ovarian cancer via our veterinarians.
You may see us as pooches, cats and birds shaking nervously on the way to the animal hospital, but it's all an act! We go for our own health and we go for the women in our lives. Did you know 80% of veterinarians are women, and 80% of people taking us in for appointments are women? These ladies are so good to us and we want to give back to them through OCSA's Veterinary Outreach Program.
The VOP teaches the veterinary community to identify warning signs pet owners may discuss while in the exam room with their pet (us). As we know, our owners sometimes prefer gabbing with our wonderful animal doctors more than their own physicians! We'll take credit for teaching veterinarians to be great listeners:)
The VOP makes sense and we hope you'll donate so we can spread this program to veterinary clinics across the Midwest. Ten clinics are already VOP members, unleashing the public health power of veterinarians to fight this deadly disease.
When ovarian cancer is diagnosed and treated in its earliest stages, the survival rate is over 90%. If we put our paws together, we can win this battle! Thank you in advance for your te-ruff ruff-ic support!
P.S. Consider joining OCSA for its benefit at the Signature Room on Sunday, July 21! While we pets won't be attending the dinner, you can be sure all pet owners in attendance will happily share pictures and stories about their lovable furry friends.
