The 9th Annual Britton Fund Ride will take place on May 2, 2016 in Orange County, CA. Our event will start at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim and go for 30, 60, or 90 miles to help us generate funding for increased research and education in tree care. Not only is The Britton Fund Ride about endurance, it’s about making an impact on the local community too. The ride includes a tree planting and ceremony at a local elementary school, led by arborist entertainment/advocate group, TreeCircus.
We'll start out at the Disneyland Hotel, head up to scenic Santiago Canyon College, go alongside the UC Irvine campus, and through the Newport Beach Back Bay. Then we'll cruise up the coast to the famous Huntington Beach Pier (Surf City USA!), and finish by following the Santa Ana River all the way back to Anaheim. You've never seen the OC like this before! View the route map here.
Established in 2006 as a non-profit corporation, The Britton Fund works for the public good to promote tree research and education in California, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii.
Ride reviews from 2015 riders:
- Camaraderie is HUGE. Personal challenge is a driving, but daunting, force. I guarantee participating in The Britton Fund Ride will be a personal uplifting, invigorating experience for YOU!!
- It was incredibly fun! Great group of people, very easy going, good food, we raised so much money - very successful and rewarding experience.
- Lots of great people I would probably not have had a chance to get to know otherwise. Beautiful setting. Wonderful support from SAG. The choice of length of ride was really important to many people I spoke to.
- You're riding for a great cause and it was inspiring to me all the donations I received from residents who wanted to support tree research.
