Dearest Hope to Haiti Donor,…
Dearest Hope to Haiti Donor,

We cannot thank you enough for your overwhelming generosity to Random Acts’ Hope2Haiti 2012 campaign. I hope that you have been following us at as we chronicle how your support is significantly impacting the children and community of Jacmel. While the situation in Haiti remains dire, our projects are receiving funding they desperately need…all thanks to you!

Random Acts is still helping with several wonderful projects conceived and run by Haitians in their home communities. The Jacmel Children’s Center is in the final phases of construction and we fully anticipate completion by the end of 2012 or early 2013, this has been made possible by your donation. The Art Creation Foundation For Children is hoping to move into a much larger facility that they will own, and some of your donations are being to help make that possible. The Faith and Love Orphanage is under construction to expand their facility to provide a secure, loving home for even more children and the Espoir des Enfants orphanage has a new home and hopes to put in a library soon.

The hard earned dollars you donated are disbursed directly from Random Acts to these entities and therefore, directly to the programs they provide. This arrangement allows you to be certain that your funds are being used to impact the children and the community of Jacmel in a truly significant way. We will continue to share with you video and testimonials from our volunteer team about our Haiti experience and ongoing progress.

We wanted to send you a heartfelt and personal THANK YOU, for generously donating to our Hope2Haiti 2012 campaign. Your gift is sincerely appreciated and continues to improve the circumstances and make a profound and lasting difference in the lives of the people in Jacmel, Haiti.

Thank you

Stuff About Me:

I'm just your average college student, but I'd like to think that I have a passionate heart and a sort of determination that's not often found.

I'm currently studying art in school, and I'm a firm believer that there is no life without art and creation in its various forms. My favorite artwork tends to be comic books, science fiction, and horror movies... but I have a very deep appreciation for more classical works as well.

I'm one of the founders of a budding local movement that goes by the name of "The Quest". It's a bit of a dorky explanation, but those of us who started this are a bit on the dorky side ourselves. A "quest" can be defined as "a long or arduous search for something". That's exactly what we're doing with The Quest. We're all looking for something. You don't necessarily have to know what you're looking for, and it's different for everyone. The basic idea is that fellow Questers assist you in your own Quest, and in doing so they become closer to their goals. We promote positive thinking, meeting new people, seeing new places, performing charitable acts, having fun, and being a bit spontaneous. We donate to charities, we hold meditation workshops, we go to theme parks, we read poetry to strangers at the mall, we offer free hugs, we try new & exciting things, we offer support and love where some have none, and of course we perform any other random acts of kindness we can think of. Our one goal is really just to find our own self-fulfullment while helping others find theirs.

In my free time (whether I consider this active questing or not) I volunteer at the Henry J. Hyde Resource Center, a local establishment where we help tend to the kids after school and during the summer. It's a lovely program that helps teach them about a few of the fun things like the arts, but also helps them learn a few good study habits and manage all that homework. We may also sneak in a few games of soccer or silent ball before it's time to go home. ;)

If for any reason you have any questions for me, or if you're ever in need of any sort of help, or if you need someone to listen, or if you're just interested in making a new friend, then please feel free to contact me via email at

I'm always willing to lend a hand, or an ear, or whatever else I can offer. :)
