On May 23, 2013 Dr. Raul Villanueva and his family were involved in an auto accident while visiting his family in Colombia.
Raul’s wife, Christine Noel Villanueva with child, their two daughters Caroline Beatriz - age 4, Julia Elizabeth - age 1, Raul’s sister Clara Gonzalez Villanueva and her husband Gabriel Barraza all perished in the accident.
Dr. Villanueva suffered a fractured right femur, pulmonary contusion and pelvic fracture. He is expected to remain hospitalized for several months.
We are asking the South Florida Medical Community to help one of their own in his time of need. Dr. Villanueva’s medical bills are expected to be substantial and he is unable to work during his hospitalization and rehabilitation. The family of Dr. Villanueva also needs to be brought home for proper burial.
While we are specifically asking for donations from the medical community, we greatly appreciate anyone who would like to help Raul cope with the loss of his family.
We thank you for your kindness and generosity.
