Vincent Campo Medical Bills
Organized by: Lorraine Campo
Vinny passed on 12/25/2015. Thank you to everyone who donated. Any additional money raised will go right to Lorraine for final medical and funeral expenses. (Edited on 12/29/2015)
Wow! We are totally blown away by the response to our fundraising campaign. We surpassed our initial, conservative goal. Now, we are raising our sights a little. As you know, medical bills are ongoing. Every dollar collected goes to pay off the past and future medical bills brought on by this devastating disease. Thank you all for your generous show of support. We couldn't have done this without everyone on this list sharing and/or donating.
This account was set up in Lorraine's name to show that all funds would go to her. However, it was organized by her family.
Back in 2006, Vincent Campo was diagnosed with renal cancer and given 3-5 years to live. Nine years later, he is still battling the cancer that has now spread throughout his body. In all this time, he has never once been in remission, and he has never once asked for help besides well wishes.
Several years ago, Vinny reluctantly had to stop working due to his failing health, and Lorraine assumed the responsibly of sole financial provider for the family. Even with huge premiums, Lorraine’s health insurance has only covered about 60% of the medical bills all this time. Up to this point, they have met their financial obligations only through repeated refinancing of their mortgage. Recently, Vinny’s health has deteriorated rapidly, and medical bills are piling up faster.
Those closest to Vinny and Lorraine have made the decision to ask all of their family and friends for assistance during this difficult time. This is not something that we can do alone and request those who love and care for Vinny and Lorraine to assist to the best of their ability with financial help. To this end, we have created a Crowdrise funding account with all donations going directly to Lorraine and Vinny. Thank you for the assistance you provide, and please keep Lorraine and Vinny in your thoughts at this most difficult time. We request that you share this post.
