BENEFITING: Voices Of Hope
Voices of Hope for Cecil County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating the stigma of addiction and recovery. From January 2016 to June 2016, there were 920 fatal overdoses, compared with 601 last year. Heroin deaths rose 68% to 566 and fentanyl deaths rose 268% to 446 in just the first 6 months of this year. We need you to help us raise $10,000 to cover the costs of a detox and or short term in patient rehab program for a few of our members who don’t have insurance or the ability to pay to get well again. Voices of Hope offers peer mentoring, advocacy, awareness and outreach events. Currently we are also developing employment, housing and financial programs to help those in recovery begin a new life of stability. We are your neighbors and friends who are an active, innovative part of creating solutions for the epidemic affecting the lives of our families, children, businesses, and economy. As the drug and fatal overdose epidemic continues to rise in Cecil County and all of Maryland, we must come together to find new ways to fight the battle and support recovery. Please donate. It may save a life.
