"Traveling- it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller."- Ibn Battuta Hi guys! My name is Caitlin O'Donoghue, I'm 17 years old. I used to live in Carlow, Ireland but I'm currently living in Rockland, New York. I have just been accepted to volunteer in Africa next summer, June 2017. The program I am working with is VESA- Volunteer Eco Students Abroad. Their goal is to help change the lives of people in the St.Lucia community and also giving the volunteers the experience of a lifetime! The work I will be doing has many elements to it. We will be teaching English to primary school children along with basic sanitation and nutrition through games. We will also be renovating run down facilities, installing sustainable farming units for employment and constructing houses for families in need. We will be working with cheetahs and leopards in the breeding and release program and involved with the capture and release of crocodiles. This is a huge experience with such a good cause. Any donations and support is greatly appreciated as I raise money throughout the next year. This money will be going towards paying for accommodation, food, and others needs for this trip. Thanks to everyone supporting! Feel free to message me if you have any questions. Learn more: http://www.vesabroad.com/projects/south-africa
