Volunteer Medical Help Trip to the Dominican Republic
Organized by: Connor Finklea
Every year the Rural Health Scholar program at Southern Utah University makes a trip to the Dominican Republic to give the locals much needed medical attention. This year I would love to go, but sadly I do not have the funds necessary to get me there and back. I get to keep 99% of the money donated here and the money will be used for airfare, some food, and lodging expenses. We will leave on December 11th and return on thr 19th. On this volunteer trip, we will be working with Solid Rock, Int. A Christian charity organization whose focus is primarily on helping those in the Dominican Republic. We will help them with their medical and dental needs, while also becoming their friends. I myself would like to continue onto physician's assistant school after I complete my undergraduate studies, and this medical experience is a once in a lifetime opportunity to truly help those who are in need and to build a foundation of volunteerism that will continue on into my medical career. I would greatly appreciate any amount of money that you are willing to offer to allow me to serve those in the Dominican Republic. Small donations welcome.
