Voyageurs National Park Association (voyageurs.org) is raising funds to send fourth graders from Falls Elementary, Indus School and Littlefork-Big Falls Elementary on two-hour fields trips on Voyageurs National Park's waterways. Interactive curriculum will allow teachers and students to explore and learn while aboard the park's Voyageur tour boat.
On the Bald Eagle Tour, students will learn about the life cycles of our nation's iconic birds while viewing their nests from the water. Rangers will cover topics including the eagles’ adaptation and carrying capacity as well as the park’s banding and management programs that have helped bring back the local population.
The Black Bay Beaver Pond Exploration gives students a boat tour and hiking venture where they see a beaver pond and conduct an investigation of life in the pond’s delicate aquatic ecosystem.
Your donation will help inspire Minnesota kids to explore Voyageurs National Park and the world around them.
