Victory Programs is thrilled to be an official John Hancock Non-Profit Partner for the 2016 Boston Marathon!
In September, we were notified by John Hancock, the landmark sponsor of the world-famous Boston Marathon, that Team Victory would receive two Marathon bib numbers through its Non-Profit Program that distributes bibs to deserving charities throughout the Commonwealth.
Victory Programs has been opening doors to hope health and housing for individuals and families in need for 40 years. Since its inception in 1975, the agency has expanded to 17 housing and health programs providing shelter and recovery services to 2,300 people annually. Victory Programs has a storied history of responding to emerging needs in the community - from being one of the first agencies in Massachusetts to allow HIV positive clients in its addiction recovery programs in 1981 to opening Chamblet Family Home in the midst of a surge in family homelessness in 2014. Throughout its organizational growth, Victory Programs’ commitment to those struggling with homelessness, drug and alcohol addiction and chronic illnesses like HIV/AIDS always remains its top priority.
We are deeply grateful to John Hancock for its invaluable support, to the members of Team Victory for training, fundraising and ultimately running Boston's premiere marathon and to all of our donors for helping Victory Programs continue to open doors for the men, women and children in our community who need it most.
Thank you from the staff, board and clients of Victory Programs!
