Team Never Give Up Ever - VT Children's Hospital
Organized by: John Ferrara
EVENT DATE May 24, 2015
On Memorial Day weekend 2007 we received a call from the pediatrician that our son, Evan, had cancer. Only a month before, Evan was a happy-go-lucky, 3-year-old little boy enjoying his first year of spring skiing. And then, boom...in a hospital bed, full of tubes and beginning 3 ½ years of chemotherapy. As you can imagine, our world was turned upside down receiving this news. But the support that the Vermont Children’s Hospital was able to provide because of its wonderful staff and charities like Team Never Give Up Ever was truly a blessing.
Today, Evan is a happy-go-lucky, 11-year-old boy who still enjoys skiing as well as baseball and golf. He is also looking forward to seeing all the new Marvel and Star Wars movies! And his daddy reflects every night when he plants a goodnight kiss on that formerly bald head how lucky we are. Make sure to scroll through Evan's pictures to see the results of the amazing care he received!
Thank you so much for helping support Team Never Give Up Ever. Two Vermont families every month get a call similar to the one we received eight years ago, and these families are facing medical expenses that have increased and insurance support that has...well...done the opposite.
