A group of us are about to embark on a journey to Peru, to hike the famous Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. While we're all privileged to see and experience the world, there are others that are less fortunate than us. Many rural villages in Peru still don't have access to clean drinkable water.
By becoming a Clean Water Courier, with a non-profit organization called Waves for Water, we can do what we love, and help in the process. By donating a water filter to a community along our trip that's in need of clean water, we can help eliminate contaminated water which cause diseases and even death.
Waves for Water has designed a great program that anyone who loves to travel can make a difference.
For only $25, the Family filters will provide enough clean water for 14 people per day. And for $50, the Community filters will provide enough water for 100 people per day. It's simple to setup, and easy to maintain. Please go to their website to read more about the filtering systems.
For our trip, we could love to give out at least a few of these filters, to help the people that we will come across.
Please help us by donating to our cause, any extra donation would go directly to Waves for Water to help with their many other projects.
Thank you! :)
