EVENT DATE: Dec 01, 2012
World AIDS Day is December 1st! Help us deliver an AIDS-Free Generation! In 2011 World AIDS Day Detroit started with the voice of one medical student. Just one year later, thousands have have joined in the fight!
This will be another historic commemoration of World AIDS Day with participation from many partnering organizations and medical students from ALL MICHIGAN MEDICAL SCHOOLS!
Stand with us as we stand together, united, with one voice to help Detroit and the world get to ZERO:
ZERO new HIV-infections
ZERO AIDS-related deaths
To all those that supported us last year: Thank You!
You already know the importance of fighting against HIV/AIDS.
You already know the impact World AIDS Day Detroit made in 2011.
You already know what it means to stand with others in support of an AIDS free generation.
You believed in World AIDS Day Detroit before anyone knew what it would become.
You gave your time, your contacts and your resources to nothing more than an idea, a dream.
You were an early believer, and for that we thank you.
Why is my donation to World AIDS Day Detroit going to the Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan?
World AIDS Day Detroit is a partnership of existing non-profits.
The Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan (HFM) is the WADD fiduciary which means that it manages all of the donations and expenses associated with World AIDS Day Detroit efforts.
HFM was chosen as fiduciary because it is fiscally strong with an annual budget of over 2.5 million dollars and has been named one of the best managed non-profits by Crain’s Detroit Business Magazine.
All contributions made to WADD are restricted for use by the WADD committee and any net proceeds will be returned to organizations that provide services to the HIV/AIDS community.
