Stuff About Me:

Imam Helmi (Abufarah) Agha has been working with the Central Florida community since 2012. Executive Director of American Muslim Youth Leadership Council and the Imam of Masjid Shadi El Agha. Working with the youth as well as less fortunate people in need, he has sacrificed his life for the greater good of the community and has dedicated himself to helping the spiritual care of others. Your donation will go to the MASJID directly as a Sadqa Jarya.  May Allah reward all those who have given to us financial and made dua for us. Jazakum Allah Khairan.

  • January 2012 co-founded American Muslim Youth Leadership Council (AMYL)
  • January 2013 Opened Youth Community Center in Kissimmee, FL
  • 2013 Volunteer Chaplin at Florida Hospital, Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital, and Orlando Health
  • 2013 Initiated Bridge the Gap Initiative included City, County, State, and Federal law enforcement agencies.
  • 2014 May hosted Round table community engagement for Department of Homeland Security Washington DC office.
  • Hosted 3 following Round Table Discussions included major universities such as UCF, Valencia College, and Stetson University along with Hospitals, City, State and Federal Law enforcement for the purpose of discussing homeland security specifically Homegrown Terror, the threat to security, and how to keep our country safe.

Which resulted in forming a committee that included U.S. Attorney Lee Bentley, which set the agenda to discuss battling homegrown terror and safety and security.
2013 hosted various food drives to the need community in the immediate local area of Kissimmee.
2013 Opened a community food bank to provide food and assistance to local community throughout Osceola County.
 Joined the “Ending homelessness in Florida” Initiative
December 18, 2014 hosted a Bridge the Gap meeting with US Attorney Lee Bentley, Sheriff Hansel, DHS Washington D.C. Office and Kissimmee Police Chief Lee Massie.
Member of Osceola Connected Celebration “Learning without Hunger” providing meals for underprivileged students through the weekend.
Adopted Central Ave. Elementary and sponsored the school to provide weekend meals for the students.
Conducted counseling for troubled youth
