BENEFITING: WAGS AND WALKS
ORGANIZER: WAGS AND WALKS
EVENT DATE: May 02, 2017
On May 17, 2016, Pippen found herself in Downey Shelter, a high kill shelter in the Los Angeles area. Her intake photo shows this terrified and anxious little 10 month old puppy. A few days later, a good citizen pulled her from the shelter. They quickly realized they couldn't take care of her and brought her to Wags and Walks. On June 8, I met this sweet girl and just days later on June 13, she was officially mine. I can't thank Wags and Walks enough for the opportunity to foster fail this perfect girl. She brings such joy to our lives so we want to give back! Can you donate $5 or 10 to help give other pups a fighting chance at getting out of the shelter? By donating to the #SavingPetsChallenge, you are helping us compete towards winning MORE money just for having donors! That means your donation is contributing more than you give!

Help Wags & Walks save more rescue dogs by supporting #TeamWags in this year’s #SavingPetsChallenge!
Wags & Walks is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in West Los Angeles dedicated to rescuing family-friendly dogs from shelters and finding them safe and suitable permanent homes through adoption, advocacy and education. We work to decrease the number of dogs euthanized in local shelters by showing the community that you can find wonderful dogs of all breeds and sizes through rescue.
By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians, and trainers, we rescue hundreds of dogs every year and provide them with loving temporary care while finding them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. Every Wags & Walks dog has been through a temperament evaluation to ensure we know the best fit for our dogs.
Wags & Walks is one of the fastest growing rescues in Los Angeles. Since our founding in 2011, we’ve saved and placed more than 2,300 dogs that were scheduled to be killed in our overcrowded shelter system. Our success can be credited to a team of dog-loving, loyal and intelligent people that share a can-do attitude as well as a strong network of partners, incredible alumni and our value of choosing our dogs on temperament rather than breed.
Our team drives hundreds of miles each week and spends hundreds of hours to save as many wonderful dogs as we can. With your help, we can save so many more.
Join #TeamWags by making a donation to our Savings Pets Challenge 2017 fundraiser. All donations and money raised supports Wags & Walks’ efforts to save, foster and care for rescue dogs.
