Students at the Harley School are raising money to build a well and bring clean drinking water to a village in Africa through an organization called Water for South Sudan. On May 12th, 2012, we will be having a Walk for Water. Sponsored students, teachers, and members of the Rochester community will walk the average distance girls in Africa walk to retrieve water, which is 6k. There will be entertainment by local bands, food, henna, face painting, t-shirts, and more. The Walk for Water will provide an opportunity for young and old alike to join together in an effort to help others, learn about water issues facing our world, build community, and have fun.
