EVENT DATE: Oct 14, 2012
The Thirst Project is a non-profit organization that aims to help fight the global water crisis. Almost 1 billion people do not have access to clean water. That is 1 in every 8 of us.
Our first annual Walk for Water will take place on October 14th at the Cornell Plantations Arboretum.
Registration will begin at 10:30 and the walk will being at 11:00am.
Registration is $10 for all participants. You can either register here or at the event.
You can walk/run/skip, it doesn't matter. Our goal is simply to raise awareness about the global water crisis and what the Thirst Project @ Cornell is doing.
Prizes will be given out!
The Thirst Project at Cornell is a campus chapter of the national organization. Our goal is to raise money to build wells in these developing countries that do not have access to freshwater. We have the power to fund our very own well, but we need your help! If you are interested in getting involved at Cornell, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
