As quoted by Denise Kuhbier, a chair of the Putnam Alzheimer’s Walk, Alzheimer effects everyone.
Alzheimer's is a challenge to us all, and after more than two decades in the field, I am dedicated to making a difference in the pursuit of a cure, which is why I have focused on serving as chair of the Putnam Alzheimer's Walk. As a registered nurse and health care consultant for more than 25 years, I have witnessed firsthand the onset, progression and debilitating effects this disease has on families. Today, in my role of senior vice president at LeanOnWe, an innovative home care service that helps families find private caregivers, I am able to provide expert guidance and help families find the right care for their loved ones. Throughout my nursing career, I have endeavored to educate my patients, clients, customers, neighbors, friends, and family about this illness, and hope that I will be an important part of teaching people how to cope with this terrible disease and working to find a cure.
With the help of your recommendation and the continued support of the community, we are hoping to raise $500 to help support the walk and put an end to Alzheimer’s disease. “Alzheimer's is really close to my heart and I only wish the most and brightest futures for those effected", said Saini Smith-Clarke, agency owner.
