BENEFITING: PROVIDENCE PORTLAND MEDICAL FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Aug 23, 2013
As many of you may be aware our Associate Rob Hoskins passed away earlier this year from his battle against cancer. This was attributed to the time he spent in the Navy working as a Nuclear Submarine Weapons Specialist. He is well remembered here in the Milwaukie office for his unique perspective on life and as a huge supporter of the Hood to Coast Relay as a Volunteer Captain for several years.
A donation to the Charity of Choice – PROVIDENCE CANCER CENTER -can be made in his name. Here Is a small write up about this Year’s Charity
At Providence Cancer Center, researchers believe that immunotherapy – activating the body’s own immune system to fight cancer – is key to advancing cancer treatment. These scientists and renowned immunologists in the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute’s Robert W. Franz Cancer Research Center work tirelessly with oncologists, radiation oncologists and surgeons to bring internationally recognized research from the lab directly to patients.
The combination of advanced research, patient-focused care and compassionate support services is made possible by ongoing financial support from generous donors.
