I will be participating in The Walk & Roll on April 29th to help raise money for Healing Farms. Healing Farms is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization that provides day programming and supports for individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families. They work hard to help their participants find their place and purpose by focusing on their gifts and talents and creating opportunities to participate and give back.
The money raised from The Walk & Roll will enable Healing Farms to continue in their work to create quality day programming for young adults with developmental disabilities as well as supports and services to the special needs community.
I’ve committed to fundraise [$Amount] for this amazing charity. Please help me reach my goal by making a tax- deductible donation to my personal fundraising page at [link to your fundraising page]. My page is set up to automatically generate and email you a receipt once you’ve donated.
For more information about Healing Farms please feel free check out their website at www.healingfarms.org
Thank you in advance for your support and generosity.
What: The 2nd Annual Walk & Roll for Healing Farms will be held on April 30th, 2016 at Danny Jones Recreation Complex - 1455 Monitor St. North Charleston, SC 29405. How you participate is up to you -- walk, push a stroller, pull a wagon, ride a wheelchair, or join us as a virtual walker. The whole idea is to have fun for a great cause! There will be food, music, prizes, and even a Fun Zone for kids of all ages!
Who: This event is open to anyone and everyone, no fitness level required. Young and old- there is something fun for everyone. Old friends and new, we hope to see you.
Why: Every year thousands of students with disabilities are aging out of high school with few options for employment or contribution. The general consensus is that individuals with disabilities are unable to contribute. We don’t believe that.
The Challenge: You can be a difference maker. Raise $150 and receive a Walk & Roll T-shirt. Top teams and individuals will receive prizes.
The money raised from the Walk and Roll will enable Healing Farms to continue in their work to create quality day programming for young adults with developmental disabilities as well as supports and services to the special needs community. Your support directly impacts families right here in our community.
