The mission of the Walton Foundation for Independence is to inspire philanthropy to support programs and services that create an inclusive lifestyle for people with disability in our community to live, work and play. Formerly a part of Walton Rehabilitation Hospital, the Walton Foundation for Independence is a 501c3 non profit organization created in 1998 with a mission to support people with physical disabilities in the Richmond, Columbia, Aiken, and McDuffie county areas.

Our programs include: adaptive sports clinics and inclusive tournaments in both wheelchair tennis and golf; two spend the night camps for children with traumatic brain injury or physical disabilities; affordable, accessible housing for persons with disabilities and seniors. Also, with our recent merger with Champions Made From Adversity (CMFA) we are now the area’s largest nonprofit offering sports and leisure programs specifically designed for people with disabilities.
