Warmpod.com contains full plans to enable individuals, communities, agencies or other organizations to build portable warming structures. These structures are designed to be very safe, lightweight and may be setup by one person (making this design useful for individuals). I have invested all of my resources into creating a prototype, paying for website hosting costs and creating how-to videos/plans for the website. However, more work needs to be done. I need some financial help to make the website more useful. I would like to create an alternative "side wall" design, which is heavier, but is cheaper/easier to produce; I believe this will be a benefit to various areas that may not have access to some materials. In addition, I would like to make an alternative roof that is heavier, but is also simpler to construct. The first design weighs less than 300 pounds, is extremely strong and is a good prototype. However, the feedback I've received from visitors is that a more economical and easier to produce design needs to be explored. Though the next prototype may not be assembled by one person alone, I am encouraged that it will be just as strong as the first.
I intend to keep the design for the floor and "end walls" the same (as they are constructed of simple plywood and lumber). However, I am compelled to offer alternative plans for the roof and "side walls" that do not require fiberglass.
