Water Wells In Africa
Organized by: Denise Price
The global water crisis claims 3.4 million lives each year. To us, it's not just a statistic. It's 3.4 million people with names, families, hopes and dreams. When confronted with this reality, we must respond. This is not someone else's crisis... it's all of ours. And that is why I want to go to Kenya, Africa with Water4 and Mid-America Christian University this summer to help fight this issue that is claiming so many lives. While we are there we will be building water wells in villages where individuals have to walk a long distance to get access to clean water. When people gain access to clean water, amazing things happen. Jobs are created, sickness is prevented, childhoods are restored, and communities are transformed. Typically I hate asking for financial help, but this is a bigger challenge than what I had anticipated. I felt led by Christ to go on this trip and I have had to learn to put my faith in Him with my fears, worries and also financial struggles. If you feel led to contribute to this mission I would be incredibly grateful. Thank you for taking the time to read this and listening to my heart.
