In 2009 I traveled to Nteso, Ghana for a Humanitarian/Medical Project. While I was there I spoke with the local Chief and Elders of the town. Their plea to me was for me to help raise money for a new bohr hole so they could have clean water. They took me to their one well they had that my friends non-profit had put in for them. People were lined up just waiting to fill their buckets. The sad thing is that most of the people lined up were children waiting to get water for their families while their parents worked all day. These children should have been in school but their families livlihood was more important. The Chief sat me down and told me "Without water we are nothing. Without water we cannot survive." The 2nd pump in Nteso became spoiled and broke many years ago and they are very worried what they will do if their only pump breaks.
One pump is not enough for their village. Help me get them water. Help me get kids back in school because water is more accessable to get!
