Water for South Sudan (WFSS) drills fresh water wells in South Sudan, one of the world's poorest countries. Since 2005 WFSS has drilled 304 wells, bringing fresh, clean water to hundreds of thousands of South Sudanese, transforming their lives. WFSS was founded by Salva Dut, a former "Lost Boy of Sudan."
In 2017, WFSS began rehabilitating older wells with an updated design and more durable materials. This organization is committed to continuing its service and promise to provide clean water to all, and visiting old wells has been a vital step in ensuring lasting sources of fresh water.
WFSS is also proud to provide hygiene education and training to every village we perform, which strengthens the impact of fresh water for the health of those who access our wells.
2015 also saw the continuation of the United Peace and Development Project, working with Aqua-Africa, across tribal lines, to bring access to fresh water.
WFSS is dedicated to helping to develop South Sudan, the newest nation on earth. Join this international effort to provide water to those in great need.
