2014 Water Awareness Walk
The PHI Youth Group in Orange County is raising funds this summer for the UNICEF Tap Project.
Students from elementary school through high school gather to walk in the Fullerton/La Mirada area to raise awareness about the water crisis around the world.
Unsafe drinking water contributes to the second greatest cause of preventable childhood deaths.
In 2008, 4000 children died each day due to unsanitary living conditions and unsafe drinking water.
Now, in 2014, there are 1400 children dying each day.
Our goal is to make that number ZERO.
We will be walking to raise awareness and remind our community of the water crisis affecting children and families around the world.
The UNICEF Tap Project aids in building pipes and wells to help families and villages get access to safe, drinkable water.
Help us raise awareness by joining our walk on phiyouthgroup.org/water2014 or by accessing the Fullerton area zipcode on http://www.unicefusa.org/help/events/grassroots
Or donate to our cause.
ALL DONATIONS GO TO THE UNICEF TAP PROJECT.
