Work Better Nepal Fundraiser
Organized by: Amanda Segal
This fundraiser is the first in a series of initiatives at Work Better to help members build community support across our six centers for causes they care about. Our first initiative as a community is to help those impacted by the tragic 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal on April 25, 2015. So far this tragedy has claimed over 7,000 lives and affected millions more. Our goal is to raise $1500 for both emergency relief and long term rebuilding efforts. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to GlobalGiving's Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund.
GlobalGiving is a charity fundraising web site that gives social entrepreneurs and non-profits from anywhere in the world a chance to raise the money that they need to improve their communities. The GlobalGiving Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund is supporting more than 40 local partners on the ground providing emergency and long-term relief. Since 2002, GlobalGiving has raised $175,079,146 from 455,959 donors who have supported 12,106 projects, which undergo a rigorous due diligence review. It offers donors a transparent, high-impact giving experience by supporting local experts who understand the communities they are serving.
