Having a baby can be a joyous occasion; it can also be a stressful and frightening time for new parents. Many pregnant women and new fathers have concerns and questions, but no helpful resources available to them. These first months and years are extremely important for a young child’s healthy development. The Early Childhood “Hub” is a specialized helpline designed to assist young parents and connect them with free in-home assistance and other resources so that they can better handle the challenges of parenthood. This program is partially funded through various grants that cover about half of the program’s cost. Donations from the public help strengthen, stabilize and sustain the program.
