BENEFITING: American Red Cross
ORGANIZER: American Red Cross
EVENT: Shelter of Hope
EVENT DATE: Jun 02, 2016
THE STORY:
Did you know that nearly every 24 hours the American Red Cross of San Diego/Imperial Counties responds to a local disaster in our community? Most of these are home fires. Those affected need shelter, food, water, first aid and emotional support. Perhaps they need their medications replaced, or simply a teddy bear to help comfort their child. Quite frankly, they need the American Red Cross. And this is where we come in. It costs the Red Cross an average of $550 to help one family recover from a disaster. Please join us in supporting the humanitarian efforts of our local Red Cross staff and volunteers Help Open People’s Eyes (HOPE) by making a contribution to the Shelter of Hope campaign today.
