The first phase was for earnest money: $160,000 in 60 days – which was met in less than 30 days! This community is amazing. We can’t thank you all enough – not only for the financial contributions, but also your energy and the open displays of excitement and hope! We have certainly been uplifted by the groundswell of support.
With 30 days remaining in this first campaign drive, we are moving on to the second phase! We have increased our overall goal to $360,000, which we anticipate will cover our complete down payment and allow us some operating funds to hit the ground running! The CrowdRise goal will remain at $64,000 for this second phase. The faster we reach this goal, the sooner we can gather together on the Land!
Keep track of our progress with the Fern-o-meter! We will update once weekly moving forward.
Just a reminder that donations are tax-deductible!
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!
UPDATE! We exceeded our goal within 5 days, so we have adjusted the target to a stretch goal of $64,000 via CrowdRise donations of $999 or less (to save on fees)! Please keep sharing!
Today, under the very generous fiscal sponsorship of Purple, Inc., We Want the Land Coalition launches our first fundraising campaign towards securing the Land! Our goal is $160,000 in 60 days via multiple donation mediums; our CrowdRise goal of $32,000 is adjusted to account for donations from $10-$999, to help us save on processing fees.
August in You - $500 - $999
Giving Hart - $250 - $499
Sharing the Woo - $10 - $250
Giving multiple, smaller gifts is a great way to increase your donation level!
Your ongoing support will ensure that our sacred Land will continue to nurture our spirits for generations to come.
Thank you in advance for your support in making our collective dream of securing the Land for women and girls in perpetuity a tangible reality!
