EVENT DATE: Oct 10, 2015
On April 2012, Simply Destinee opened their doors with six students, and since then have grown to assist over fifty students a week. Simply Destinee is a youth inspired endeavor to increase suicide awareness. Simply Destinee staff and volunteers provide a positive environment that deters the pressure and danger of everyday life of youth such as suicide, bullying, anxiety, mental illness, gangs, drugs, teen pregnancy, family life, and violence. All youth are entitled to the opportunity to feel healthy and safe in their community. Youth at Simply Destinee are taught to express themselves through group activities and dance, learning the steps for salsa, bachata, merengue, cumbia, hip hop, swing, waltz and more. Staff and volunteers are helping students cultivate important social, emotional, life, and academic skills. As a supporter I’m inviting you to make a financial donation that will help cover our operational costs. They are in need of financial support to continue their work. Simply Destinee’s team are helping youth handle shades of grey by helping them explore questions, rather than give them answers.
Simply Destinee is a youth inspired Dance Team that promotes suicide awareness in Memory of Destinee A. Oliva.
Make a donation for $10 - $10,000.

On May 2010 my friend tragically lost his teenage niece to suicide. On promotional postcard it reads, “Destinee was a very motivated, loving, and talented inspiration to all. Her love for music inspired us to turn our tragedy to triumph. If we SAVE ONE LIFE, then we have accomplished our mission.”
