We Are The CHange
Organized by: Harmony and Jessica
Some of you see my uncle on the street corner on your way to work each day. Sometimes I see your brother. He smiles as I drive past, in my rush to get to my job, then holds his head up high as the next round of cars pulls up next to him. He holds a sign, hoping the message it contains is compelling enough for his next meal. His stomach aches, but his mind is prepared for the chance at a steady job. He's a veteran. He's a father. She is a nurse. He plays backgammon. She was a foster child. He loves to sing. She keeps all of her belongings in a single back pack. These are our children and friends, our mothers and fathers, our siblings in humanity.
W.A.T.CH what can be done with only $20. Or $10. Or even just $1.
$20 can fund one backpack that can provide a method of keeping safe the small number of valuables a homeless person has. Inside the backpack are small meals, notepads and pencils, toiletries, blankets or clothes, items we take for granted every day. Every $20 can change a life. We Are The CHange. W.A.T.CH what you can do.
