Over 38,000 individuals are diagnosed with cancer every year in the state of Washington. At Gilda’s Club Seattle we provide a community for the men, women, teens & children living with cancer along with their family and friends. The emotional burden of cancer is overwhelming & that’s why at Gilda’s Club We Face Cancer Together!
Join us in our pledge as We Face Cancer Together this year! With your help we can reach more families & survivors in need of emotional support & healing this year.
Every $2,500 we raise will help us continue to provide a healing community to 6,000 survivors & their families free of charge every month.
Every $10,000 will allow us to visit a local Washington state High School for a full day of cancer education for teens specifically addressing; skin cancer, lung cancer, and HPV. [email email@example.com if you’d like to bring Gilda’s Club to your local HS]
$25,000 allows us to provide a weeklong summer camp for children living with cancer impacting the entire family.
$50,000 allows us to provide Cancer in the Workplace to provide employees and employers with on-going survivorship education and best practices.
$100,000 will launch a statewide nutrition and health program focusing on cancer prevention, tobacco cessation, self-sustaining urban farming, and the impact of obesity on health.
$250,000 will allow Gilda’s Club to expand our services to additional underserved communities across Washington State to guarantee that We Face Cancer Together!
Gilda’s Club provides a healing community for more than 20,000 survivors & their families in Washington to ensure “No One Faces Cancer Alone” every year. Programs are offered in Seattle and throughout the State with collaborating partners in varied locations such as hospitals, community centers and schools. Services are provided free of charge, eliminating financial barriers to participation.
Gilda's Club is named in honor of Gilda Radner, who, when describing the emotional and social support she received when she had cancer, called for such places of participation, education, hope and friendship to be made available for people with cancer and their families and friends everywhere. Gilda's Club Seattle officially opened its red doors on March 7th 2002. We welcome all those touched by cancer to come and join us.
