The Triangle is fortunate to have one of the leading public-private partnership programs in the country. It is getting attention for its results across the country and overseas. Over the past 15 years, over 70 percent of their graduates have been in recovery, gainfully employed, and in stable housing a full year after leaving Healing Transitions. While that is amazing, we stive to do better.
Politicians are starting to paying attention. In NH, the first in the nation primary, drug abuse is the #1 issue for presidential candidates, topping jobs, the economy, or taxes. It should be, because its the number one killer of people under 35 in New Hampshire.

Heroin deaths quadrupled between 2002 and 2013, and increased 39% between 2012 to 2013. (CDC). Prescription drug abuse now claims the lives of over 1,000 North Carolinian's per year. And 80% of heroin addicts started out on pills. This quiet epidemic needs your help, it effects everyone from every walk of life.
