Welch Family IVF
Organized by: Erin Welch
My husband and I have been dreaming of the day we will be able to hold our baby in our arms for the first time, and have been dreaming about this day sense we got married. We have been married for 5 years, and together for a total of 8 years. My husband Ray has started his own carpentry business this past year, and is taking off better then we ever imagined, but very expensive to start your own company from the ground up. I currently work at a CPA firm in Buxton. My husband and I have spent a ton of money trying to have a baby, and it get's ripped from us every time. We have been pregnant on our own 4 different times. In those four time's every one has been an eptopic pregnancy in which I had 2 burst tubes, undergone chemo (methotrexate), and surgeries. The chemo never once worked, and the baby grew bigger each time so all 4 times It has resulted in me having surgeries to remove the baby. My tubes burst two different time in which I was internally bleeding, and had to be rushed to the hospital. Currently I have no tubes left which resulted in our only option for IVF. We have struggled, but managed to pay all our medical bills that have added up over this whole journey, as well as build up my husband's company. We saved up, and lived well below our means to keep my husband's company afloat, and to be able to scrape up enough money to do the Invitro process. March of this year we went through the whole medical process where I had two embryo's placed in my uterus. I had one baby take, and all was going well for once! I heard the heart beat, and baby was growing accordingly until about 13 weeks along I went in for another check up. The baby had died, and my body did not want to let go of it. I was at high risk for an infection, so I had to undergo another surgery procedure to get rid of my baby. We have spent so much money trying to have a baby I am praying that there may be some people willing to help us out to try and make this a little lesser of a struggle for us! I can't begin to tell you the emotional struggles we have had being told 5 different time's that we are pregnant, and then have it ripped from us every time. We have a high success rate due to the fact we can easily get pregnant It's just getting it in the right spot! We live in one of the states where absolutely NO health plan's will cover any IVF procedures. Please If any one out there who is willing to help we will document, video, picture every last part of our journey in hopes to finally have our baby!!
