West LA Burrito Project 2016-2017
Organized by: Edgar Evangelista
To all of our past volunteers and anyone who is interested, for the last 7+ years every other Monday we’ve made around 100 hearty Burritos made from scratch at Stoner Park in West Los Angeles. When we are finished, we carpool to 3rd Street Promenade to deliver fresh, hot burritos to approximately 70 very grateful homeless ladies and gentlemen. We are fundraising to support food costs for another year. Any of you who have previously volunteered, and everyone else that just wants to help, your small ($1.00) to large ($100) donations would be greatly appreciated. For $10 you can provide 10 meals, for $25 you can provide 25 meals. You can imagine what more can provide. All donations would be greatly appreciated. We would also appreciate sharing information about our fundraiser with your friends and family through Facebook and e-mail. Please do your best to reach out and make this happen so we can continue filling bellies and warming souls. We are just a small group of dedicated volunteers, so there are no overhead costs. All of your donation will go towards groceries and supplies used to feed the homeless. To get more information and find out when the next meeting is, please visit the West LA Burrito Project Facebook page. Thanks from all of us, Edgar, Jerry, Eileen, Alan, J.C., Perla, James, Lance, Annemarie, Mike, Cecilia, Sora, Andy, Pili, and the many wonderful volunteers who have donated their time.
