Help our Families

The Westchase Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit public charity that relies on 100 percent volunteers for fundraising to support families, who have either children or parents battling a serious illness in the Tampa Bay and surrounding areas.

Every year the Westchase Charitable Foundation hosts an 8 week competition searching for the Tampa Bay Woman of the Year.  Candidates are nominated based on their charitable contributions and community involvement throughout the year.  The 2016 Women of the Year begins January 7th and ends March 5th with main event. During this time hundreds of events will be held by these extraordinary women, successfully fundraising thousands of dollars for families in need.

Amanda Wilson has been nominated for this highly esteemed award.  She is in the running with 15 other amazing women. Amanda’s compassionate personality, drive for success and willingness to devote countless hours to helping families in need makes her an excellent candidate for Tampa Bay Woman of the Year.

Amanda developed a strong sense of devotion for the non-profit sector when she first started volunteering her time at the Human Society more than 10 years ago. This experience gave her a deep appreciation for the phrase “one person can make a difference in the lives of many.”

Her passion for helping others led her to become an avid supporter of WCF for the past eight years. She has supported many past Tampa Bay Woman of the Year candidates helping them raise funds and secure donations.  Additionally, Amanda is very active in the Tampa Bay community volunteering her time, donating goods or contributing funds to organizations such as The Humane Society, Metropolitan Ministries, Boys & Girls Club, Prostate Cancer Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes and Hands Across the Bay.

She is asking you to be a part of this wonderful 8 week journey and to help those families in need.
