BENEFITING: WESTCHESTER MEDICAL CENTER FOUNDATION
ORGANIZER: WESTCHESTER MEDICAL CENTER FOUNDATION
I’m going the distance for patients at HealthAlliance Hospital: Broadway Campus, HealthAlliance Hospital: Mary’s Avenue Campus and Margaretville Hospital, members of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth). I am a physical therapist in my 24th year of practice and the Cardiac Rehabilitation Care Manager at HealthAlliance Hospital: Broadway Campus, where I have worked since 2006.
In cardiac rehabilitation we are always promoting healthy lifestyle changes to maximize recovery from a cardiac event and establishing healthy habits that last a lifetime. Representing WMCHealth in the TCS New York City Marathon is a great way to demonstrate that we try to practice what we promote in healthcare, and our commitment to health and wellness for our community.
At home in Highland, you’ll often find me playing sports with one of my four children, hiking, biking or swimming. I swam competitively for 17 years, including four years at Cornell University. I have participated in triathlons and 10k runs, but never in a marathon. Running a marathon is one of my personal fitness goals and something that I have wanted to do since I was a teenager.
I truly appreciate your support as I go the distance for our patients at HealthAlliance Hospital: Broadway Campus, HealthAlliance Hospital: Mary’s Avenue Campus and Margaretville Hospital.
