Western Regional Asatru
Organized by: Noble Manu
Our goal is to bring back the culture and traditions of our Norse Ancestors. Our community is focused on learning, growing, and evolving those traditions to apply to modern times. We are not a segregated Kindred, we have warriors, scholars, teachers, healers, farmers, and individuals of all back grounds. One of our greater goals is to educate people on this way of life, take back the Norse history, and breathe life back into a religion that has been lying dormant for nearly 1000 years. The Shield Wall Kindred is attempting to build an Asatru temple, The Utah Uppsala! Our hopes are to build a temple large enough to support Things and gatherings for every one of the Asatru faith and teach new followers and to set an honorable example of how our faith should be portrayed to outsiders. All funding will be put toward the temples construction, purchasing the land rights, material, and all related items to construct the temple (inspections, property taxes, contractors, etc.). We’re looking at only an acre of land right now to start small and expand as needed or able. We intend to use the grounds and building to host meetings and educate others more on the subject of Asatru and cultural differences and practices taught and passed down by our ancestors; we will also be using the grounds for visitors out of state for camping, meeting, feasting together and growing closer as a religious community and cultural community. Any and all funds gained, whether the goal is met or not, will be put toward the construction and land ownership. If the amount made does not cover cost of material we will still purchase the land and still use our own funds and man power to construct the building on our own along with the help and support of volunteers. Our Kindred believes this project will be big contribution to the world and generations to come. We want to build a place for those of the Asatru, Odinist, and pagan faith to come, learn, and grow. All donors names will be commemorated or inscribed on a wall in the temple. Please donate today, and tell all your friends about us!
