The Wharton Institute for the Performing Arts is comprised of the New Jersey Youth Symphony (NJYS), Performing Arts School (PAS), and Paterson Music Project (PMP). With these three programs unified, the Institute is able to provide unmatched access to the very best of performing arts education.
The Institute’s 1,500 participants of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities are held to high standards and encouraged to achieve their personal goals, such as:
- Experiencing world-class ensemble training with renowned conductors in the New Jersey Youth Symphony
- Acquiring music, vocal, dance, and dramatic techniques at multiple skill levels at the Performing Arts School
- Achieving musical excellence, life skills, and community pride with the Paterson Music Project
