Wheels 4 The Poor
Organized by: Abba Rescue Mission
Your help is needed, to assist us in purchasing a new Bus, so we can continue to assist the poor and less fortunate.
Abba Rescue Mission is a non- profit organization that needs your help to continue to reach out to the less fortunate in society. Our goal is to rescue, love, care, educate and train persons that have been neglected, rejected, abandoned and regarded as poor and less fortunate or even worthless to society. We believe that all persons can live a life of dignity, self worth and be consistent with their God given talent and purpose.
It is for this reason why we transport over 250 meals on Sundays to the homeless in sections of Kingston, Jamaica as well as provide basic grocery items to the elderly and needy in the inner cities, assist with back to school supplies, school renovations, counseling, skill training and meals for young men that live on the street. We also visit girls and boys homes where personal care and clothing are provided. In addition to that we assist with personal care items and pray for patients who are admitted to the John Golding Rehabilitation Centre (disabled children and adult) and the Cancer Hospital.
Unfortunately for those we serve, in May 2015 our means of transportation was severely damaged and as such we have not been able to make our visits to the different homes as well as deliver the usual number of meals on Sundays. Those who we serve are still hopeful that one day soon we will able to make our usual visits to them. Together let us make their hope become a reality by joining hearts and hands to assist us in obtaining a BUS.
A Bus will allow us to transport more volunteers, more food supplies, more items for those in the hospitals, the boys home, the girls home, the elderly and disabled in the inner city communities.
Thank you for your time. Please do not think of any donation being too small or large; together we can make this happen.
