WHAT IS WHITE CANE WALK?
White Cane Walk is Cleveland Sight Center’s annual event to raise critical dollars needed to support our mission and raise awareness of our agency and the services we provide. Join us as we walk 1.25 miles in beautiful University Circle. White Cane Walk is presented by the Association of Indian Physicians of Northern Ohio.
WHY SHOULD I WALK?
In its 12th year, White Cane Walk has already raised over $550,000 in support of CSC. These funds are vital to keep many programs and services available to clients, many of whom are not covered by medical insurance, including white canes.
DID YOU KNOW:
• The average cost of a white cane is $30.
• $200 provides two hours of Braille instruction to a child who is blind or has low vision, in his or her own school.
• $400 provides four hours of orientation and mobility training to those who use a white cane.
• $600 covers the cost of a Highbrook Lodge camper to attend camp for four days. The event is fun for all ages and there will be activities including face painting, balloon artists, music, dancing, contests and more!
