Who Dat Beastz Flag's Sport for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
Organized by: Hansen Touchard
EVENT DATE Nov 08, 2014
Help our team to raise money for Sports. Fund raised are directly to these expenses for events to attend such as United Stated Flag Football of the Deaf(USFFD)'s Championship in Indiana, National Championship Texas Flag Football of the Deaf in San Antonio, TX; every year to take turn to go to different cities, National Softball Association of the Deaf(NSAD)'s Championship which will be in Florida. National Basketball Association of the Deaf (NBAD)'s Championship will be in Oklahoma and etc.
We can't go this year since we are so new to form our Who Dat Beastz Team (New Orleans, La) since last Sept. 2013, we only raised $500. Not enough to cover the cost for flag football, softball , basketball and our goal to add dart, golf disc, bowling and etc. to these sport equipment: baseball bats, balls, football, 3-flag football belts, chalks with equipment to pour/spray on football field's yards with width and length, basketball's ball, and etc; Uniform: shirts, short and long pants, jackets, baseball helmets, sport caps, cleats, basketball shoes and many more. Plus need to raise money for our transportation to travel to city, gas trip, hotel to stay, food/drink, team fee, individual player fee, registration fee, and etc. All these are so costly that we can't afford. Your help to support to raise the fund would be greatly appreciation.
The reason we formed our new team as Who Dat Beastz of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing's Sports; to keep our deaf/hard of hearing community together, avoid boredom from staying home to watch too much time to TV, computer, sleep deprivation, wrong crowd/friend and so forth, keep in shape and health since we are older since we finished High School and some of them finished College and we want to avoid being obese, weak heart, bad shape and so forth.
Furthermore, we are deaf and hard of hearing, we are using our ASL(American Sign Language) and even some of us are using our "Oral" who can talk but have to read lip and speak a bit slow and etc. for us to understand each other like brothers and sisters without having communication barrier. We are welcoming our open arms to hearing people as individual for whoever are accepting us and not afraid when they have a great heart to try which often times turning out great.
Thanks for your support !!
